engagement shoot – Gaëlle & Lorin – Geneva

I’ve been looking forward to Gaëlle and Lorin’s engagement shoot near Geneva for ages and it was definitely worth it. Originally, we had set up the shoot for the start of the spring flowers in April but because of the weather we had to postpone it, way too cold, way too wet. Last weekend we were treated to one of the best afternoons of ‘spring ‘ so far, and we made the most of it – their venue setting, the vineyards, the shore of Lake Geneva and a glorious field of golden colza in that beautiful light that precedes storm clouds. Love it !

Having spent some time with them and seen just how full of ideas and creativity they are I just know that their wedding in June will be A.mazing, full of gorgeousness and beautiful details. I cannot wait !

engagement shoot – Lena & Fabian – Geneva

What can I say about these two gorgeous soon-to-be-weds – they are fab ! I first met Lena & Fabian in September last year at Marta & Nicolas’ beautiful wedding, as I started to photograph the group shots it started to rain and Fabian like a true gent held my umbrella for me so I could take the shots.

Fast forward a few months and I received a lovely email from them telling me that they were getting married this year – brilliant news ! Fast forward even further and we decided to wait until mid April to do their engagement shoot – the theory being we would be treated to a long sunny afternoon, warmth, stunning blossom and clear blue skies all that on the shores of Lake Geneva. Well that didn’t happen, but we did get amazing cloud ridden skies, wild wind and waves on the lake … and I loved every second of it. They are a real joy to be with and I am seriously looking forward to their wedding next month ! Enjoy these images and please feel free to leave a comment …

beautiful coffee book wedding album

Patricia & Laurent were married at the very beginning of December last year, a truly wonderful day even if it was absolutely freezing ! Over the last few weeks we have worked together to design their album, and now their gorgeous coffee book wedding album has arrived safely with them and they love it ! Patricia is a very talented blogger and was kind enough to mention their wonderful album on her brilliant blog The DIY Frenchie about life in France.

An engagement shoot in late April makes you think of spring flowers, soft light, pretty colours – general spring’iness, not this time but it really didn’t matter. The wonderful Lena & Fabian suggested doing their engagement shoot down by Lake Geneva which is beautiful whatever the weather, so we set off down to the port and watched the waves breaking, the wind whistling by, and those amazing clouds piling up threatening rain – it was brilliant !!! here is a sneaky peek, more to come soon .

engagement shoot – Sally & Marc – Abbaye de Talloires, Annecy

I think this is one of the happiest engagement shoots I have ever been lucky enough to photograph. Sally and Marc are just brilliant, totally bubbling over with excitement and enthusiasm about their September wedding and it is completely infectious. As I mentionned in the sneaky peek post it was raining, in fact absolutely tipping it down when we met up at the Abbaye de Talloires so we had coffee and a lovely chat about their plans and more coffee and it was still raining … did we give up and go home …..oooooooh no ! We headed out into the rain and had a real laugh getting some shots of the two of them. You can’t help but see the rain but I think that it is their gorgeous smiles that you will remember.

Thank you both for being so amazing and such good fun, despite the awful weather !

I met up with the totally brilliant Sally & Marc at the Abbaye de Talloires at 11am, perfect time for a chat and a coffee. It had already been raining ALL morning so we sat down to talk about all the wonderful things they have planned for their wedding confident that the rain would stop in time for their engagement shoot …. it didn’t !!!! The two of them very bravely said “it’s ok, let’s give it a go” and so armed with umbrellas we did … here’s a sneaky peek….

Sonia and Victor were married in those magical hot days of last summer, a truly wonderful day full of emotion and surprises finishing with a fantastic party at the Ferme de Gy. When they returned from their truly amazing honeymoon, we worked on choosing the images and preparing their wedding album. Recently I met up with them to deliver their beautiful wedding album documenting that very very happy day. Here are some shots of it and also the wonderful message they sent through to me afterwards.

People sometimes ask why I don’t just sell the images from a wedding on a DVD as hi res jpegs, this is why – Sonia and Victor can cuddle up on the sofa and page through their beautiful album together remembering those precious moments, looking at all those memories immediately no need to stare into a brightly lit computer screen. They have the disk tucked away safely somewhere in a drawer, but their album is immediate – and they love it.
