wow – now this was a pre wedding shoot with a difference !  Stéphanie and Mario contacted me about photographing their wedding towards the end of last year and they had very definite ideas about their pre wedding shoot – they wanted it to be different, and different it definitely was … and great great fun … and colourful and just brilliant !!   I left the idea side of things with them and we agreed to meet at the Musée d’Histoire Naturelle in the centre of Geneva …  but before we even got as far as the inside of the museum we were sidetracked by the wall painting in the best car park ever !   There is art all over the walls  – gorgeous bright colours just perfect to set off this fab couple … and THOSE boots (wow – gorgeous gorgeous – i want some !!!)

Once we were inside the museum (and had checked that we were allowed to take photos) we had great fun setting up the shots against the bright colours of the exhibits.  It turns out that they had both been frequent visitors to the museum when they were little so there were all sorts of memories (but we couldn’t find the crocodile !) , and the globe Mario is holding seemed like a direct reference to his amazing watch company  Magellan Watch . 

And for part two of the shoot ..?  we went to a car wrecking yard …. told you it was different.  The cars, the colours, the textures and Stéphanie & Mario ….. just brilliant!  and to top it off Stéphanie found an angel amongst all the broken cars – a perfect good luck sign !

I can’t wait for part one of their wedding celebrations in just under a month ! 

 the abbaye de talloires is going to be the stunning venue for Naomi & Thomas’s beautiful october wedding … so it was the perfect place to meet up for their pre wed shoot.   we chatted for ages about their plans, explored the venue and then set off to take some shots around the grounds of the hotel and down by the lake.    they are brilliant together and always laughing and teasing each other – huge smiles all the time, great fun to work with.   ooooh and if you are wondering …  the t-shirt is for naomi not new york, for another couple of weeks or so her surname starts with a ‘Y’ so it is just perfect !

the brilliant adeline and stéphane are busy planning their wedding up near paris, but on a visit home to annecy they decided to have their pre wed shoot down by the beautiful lake.   we met in the late afternoon sun at menthon st bernard, chatted for ages about all their wonderful plans (two chateaux !!!), drank ice cold drinks and hid from the glaring sun,  watched the world go by at the pottery fayre and then when the crowds drifted off we started their shoot.    here are some of my favourites …

we decided to meet in Menthon St Bernard by the lake in Annecy late on a sunny Sunday afternoon – unfortunately most of Annecy had also decided to be there for the Marché des Potiers, so we sat in the cafe by the lake and had a long chat about all their plans for their wedding in november and watched the world go by … then we started the pre wed shoot – here is a sneaky peek …

i had an absolutely brilliant time on saturday morning with this couple.  we met in the cafe du monde in grandvaux to chat about their upcoming wedding party, then despite the sweltering heat we set off to get some great shots – seriously they are so happy i don’t think they ever stopped smiling for the whole time we were together.   they are planning a very intimate wedding in a fabulous location with just a select group of close friends and famlily, so i’ll keep it that way and just show you these teasers ….

i can’t wait to see them again in a fortnight for their special day   x

what a perfect way to spend a sunday morning – we met up around 10 (not too early , it was a sunday after all !), and after a coffee or two and a good chat about the plans for their september wedding we set off to have some fun with the camera.   as you can see we did have a good laugh, in fact we laughed loads!

only just over a month now until Aurélie & Florent tie the knot and it is going to be a wonderful day.    we had such a fun time in the late afternoon sunshine overlooking the Lac du Bourget near Aix les Bains,    they’d chosen La Chambotte for their pre wed shoot because it’s somewhere they like to go walking and picnicking together and who can blame them – it’s a stunning location.    they are so natural together they were a complete joy to photograph and i think that just comes shining through, just look at the way they look at each other …

i met up with beatrice and brice in the stunning surroundings of Chateau d’Oron which is the venue they have chosen for their summer wedding and boy is it going to be beautiful !!!    they are a fantastic couple to be with & full of fun.    they brought along some things that represent different aspects of their lives to the engagement shoot – the lucky so and so’s met whilst they were living in hawaii which explains the flowers & the hula dancing, the mad little marionette and the hippo were a key part of their life overseas, the art work created by their little nieces show their pets ….  the general larking around and having fun ? well that’s just them and it’s brilliant …

it is soooooo obvious that they enjoy each others company, their big day is going to be very special.
