here’s a different sort of portrait for me – i just couldn’t resist this gorgeous and very daft hound !   x

last time i was in london we went to the natural history museum for the first time in yeeeeeears, i think the last time must have been a school trip in the 19….’s – too long ago  – anyway we had brilliant day out and some cool shots too, if you go definitely take your camera …

there are certain nights when you can sleep over at the museum now – in the dinosaur hall – how brilliant would that be ?!!!!

Sonia Grimm propose des spectacles tendres et colorés, dans lesquels elle est accompagnée d’enfants comédiens qui chantent, dansent et se déguisent en divers personnages tendres et amusants. Ses spectacles se jouent toute l’année à guichets fermés et ses spectacles de Noël font salle comble dans les plus grandes salles de Suisse Romande (Montreux, Géneve, Lausanne, ..)

Amoureuse des enfants et de la nature, Sonia ne trouvait pas dans le commerce les chansons tendres et entraînantes qu’elle rêvait de faire écouter à ses enfants.  Elle a comblé cette lacune en composant de superbes mélodies qu’elle accompagne de sa voix douce et chaleureuse et dont les textes sont emprunts d’une poésie pleine de fraîcheur.

Pour la deuxième fois à Massingy, nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir Sonia Grimm le samedi 26 juin à la salle des fêtes.  L’APE et son producteur ce sont donné les moyens d’amener, enfants et parents pour la découvrir ou redécouvrir pendant plus d’une heure.  A la fin du spectacle Sonia a pris le temps pour chacun de faire une dédicace, un bisous aux petits comme aux grands.

every year at this time my garden is full of beautiful flowers and every year i think   ‘oh i must, must, MUST photograph them!’ and every year i forget !    this year i remembered – here’s hoping that summer has finally arrived !

last weekend i had a fantastic time at the Venetien Carnival in Annecy – i took some shots of amazing costumes.  their creators often spend the whole year preparing a new costume, the work and the creativity that goes into them is mindblowing !  here is just a very quick taster post of a few of those costumes…  more to follow … promise

well how lucky am I – i was invited by the ski school to spend the day at the beautiful local ski resort of La Margeriaz to take photos of the children. 

picture it ….. a gorgeous day, civilised 10.30am start,  followed by a 40 minute drive to the ski resort… go on admit it sounds good !  Some of the children from my daughters’ school have been having ski lessons throughout January and they wanted photos of their endeavours.  The sky was clear blue, the snow was just perfect, none of that nasty icy stuff they’ve had to deal with in the olympics, there was virtually nobody on the runs and all i had to do is to ski from group to group taking shots of the kids having great fun !!!   here are some of the images … enjoy !

let’s face it as much as i loved my time at junior school this beats trips to see roman remains at Colchester Castle hands down !     …. and don’t they look fab in orange !

there is an amazing centre for natural health called the bridge in derby – they have an huge range of different treatments on offer everything from acupuncture to no hands massage, osteopathy to reflexology, a brilliant fertilty support group run by emma, how about hypnobirthing or  aromatherapy, or perhaps drama therapy or ….. the list goes on and on and on … 

I was fortunate to spend a a couple of days with this great team taking shots of them for their new brochure …. they are warm and welcoming and incredibly passionate about what they do – not only did i get to do headshots but also to look in and take shots of some of the treatments too – hopi earcandles, drama therapy, no hands massage (i definitely recommend that one …well a girl needs a break after a long days photographing), plumb lines, hydrotherm massage, drama therapy and belly dancing …. a brilliant brilliant couple of days.

i really love spending time with families and taking shots of them having fun and laughing, i love showing them just how gorgeous they are and then i love the designing and product choosing bit too.  this family chose some fantastic frames, a beautiful 9 shot frame for home, a classy white 4 image frame for the office and the girls had a contemporary box frame each for their rooms

then as an extra present from mum & dad they were given an album each,  as you can see in some really funky colours – i LOVE that hot pink suede look, and yes it really is that bright !  i know i’ve shown you beautiful portrait album shots before but i can’t resist putting some shots of the pages in to show just how good the quality is … just look at the thickness of the pages

and how about these little accordeon keepsakes that just fold up small and slip into your handbag … keep the gorgeousness with you but easier to carry round than the frames !

wow ! qu’est-ce qu’ils sont beaux ces albums !!!  ils sont fait mains aux états unis, et la qualité saute aux yeux dès qu’on commence à ouvrir le colis soigneusement emballé – c’est comme noël et un anniversaire en même temps . l’impression des images est parfaite, les pages sont épaisses et somptueuses, reliées de façon magnifique en cuir – le genre de cuir qu’on ne peut pas s’empêcher de toucher – on sent tout suite que c’est un album de qualité, qu’on peut regarder sans avoir peur de l’endommager.   …. mais pour tous ceux qui préfèrent ne pas prendre l’option cuir le fabricant présente une large gamme de couvertures qui va de la soie aux ‘happy cow’ (vache heureuse !!! -  une version de cuir synthétique) – et toujours avec la même attention du détail et de la qualité

wow !  how gorgeous are these albums !!!   they are hand made in the states and are just amazing.  the quality is there from the moment you open the very well packaged parcel – there’s all the excitement of opening a beautiful christmas present – the printing is spot on and the pages are really thick and beautifully bound in a leather cover, the sort of leather that you just can’t stop touching, an album to treasure but robust enough to be be looked at and enjoyed frequently !   … and for all of you that would prefer not to have the leather option – don’t worry – they have an amazing range of other covers from silk, to the gloriously named ‘happy cow’ options !    always with the same attention to detail and quality …
