what a perfect way to spend a sunday morning – we met up around 10 (not too early , it was a sunday after all !), and after a coffee or two and a good chat about the plans for their september wedding we set off to have some fun with the camera.   as you can see we did have a good laugh, in fact we laughed loads!

Claudia and Yves are a brilliant couple !   we first met at the amazing Rolex Learning Centre in Lausanne for their prewed shoot in May and when they told me about all they had planned for their wedding … wow was about the only word that came to mind, and i knew the day was going to be a treat !!!   

Claudia looked beautiful when i arrived so serene and calm, and just gorgeous !    I loved the stunning organza  Aire Barcelona dress, the beautiful bouquet of roses picked out with diamante, the silver Jimmy Choo’s, the fabulous hair slide,  – all the details were just perfect ! 

Claudia and Yves decided to meet up before the hustle and bustle of the wedding started, to spend some time together quietly, just the two of them, before all the excitement of the celebrations kicked in!  The ‘first look’ was at the Domaine du Daley, the venue they had chosen for the reception later in the day and it is where they wanted the first of their couple photos shot – well with the backdrop of Lac Léman who could blame them !

only just over a month now until Aurélie & Florent tie the knot and it is going to be a wonderful day.    we had such a fun time in the late afternoon sunshine overlooking the Lac du Bourget near Aix les Bains,    they’d chosen La Chambotte for their pre wed shoot because it’s somewhere they like to go walking and picnicking together and who can blame them – it’s a stunning location.    they are so natural together they were a complete joy to photograph and i think that just comes shining through, just look at the way they look at each other …

here is part two of Valérie & Damien’s wonderful wedding (part one) … after the ceremony at the Town Hall (Mairie) in Annecy le Vieux they crossed the road for the church ceremony., a very moving ceremony with a brilliant saxophone solo by one of their close friends.  The sun came out for a while and they all headed off in a very long car hooting & honking convoy to the Hotel Beauregard in sevrier ot get the party started !

 i loved Valérie & Damien’s wedding from beginning to end – they are such a very very lovely brilliant couple, straightaway they make you feel like you’ve known them forever, and their friends and families are the same.  the weather was definitely not behaving itself in the morning but you can see from the grins and giggles it didn’t put a dampener on the day in the slightest.  the day started when i met up with Valerie at E-lounge Coiffure in Annecy le Vieux where she was getting ready with her sisters and bridesmaids, and she looked b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l !    

Valérie and Damien chose to meet for their ‘first look’ before their wedding ceremony at the town hall, damien was clearly the happiest and proudest man in the world as he watched his stunning bride to be walk to towards him, and more than a few tears were shed by the onlooking guests.  this post leaves them after the ceremony in the town hall in annecy le vieux ….officially Monsieur & Madame and on their way to the church ceremony  ….

sunday morning bright and breezy i met the gorgeous Claudia & Yves at the Rolex Learning Centre in Lausanne to learn all about their plans for their big day and have some fun taking some shots of the two of them in this cool location.  we chatted for ages over coffee in this amazing place, seriously if you are into architecture or taking photos in fun places it’s a must !    they told me all the details about what was going to happen when and where from the ceremony in the gorgeous little church in St Saphorien, to the very beautiful Domaine du Daley in Lutry where they are going to have the reception, (check out the last few pictures – the view is to die for), and then to the sparkler lit entrance to their wedding dinner in the Hotel in Vevey!   (i also heard all about their amazing first dance plans – but sssshhhhhhhhh for the moment !)  

claudia and yves are a joy to be with and very obviously in love, it was a great morning ….

Once the ceremony was over and the rose petals had been thrown to congratulate the happy couple we headed off into the beautiful gardens of the Chateau de Bagnols to take the couple shots of the two happiest people on the planet .  Then it was back to their guests so that Marieleng could throw her bouquet … duly caught by the youngest young lady there, her adorable niece.  Champagne, laughter and a string quartet accompanied them throughout the afternoon and afterwards everyone made their way into dinner in the amazing hall  – speeches from those nearest and dearest to them brought the official part of the day to a close.  The dancing started with a beautiful first dance and i left them partying into the night …

Damien has to be one of the most romantic men on the planet !   He first got in touch with me just over a year ago after we had met briefly at Katya & Sebastien’s beautiful wedding … he rang me with a plan !   he wanted to propose to valerie and he wanted to do it in style, he had gathered together hundreds of photos of their life together, their families, their friends, their holidays and was going to make a photobook – on the last page there was going to be a shot of him proposing to surprise her.   Sworn to secrecy we met at menthon st bernard armed with post it notes ( a recurring theme !) and we took the proposal shots he needed !  

the short version is that after an agonisingly emotional  ten minute tearfilled pause when she turned that last page Valerie said YES !!!!   They are getting married next month and it will be brilliant, because they are totally brilliant, and totally brilliant together ! here are some of the shots from their pre wed shoot  in Menthon St Bernard down by Lake Annecy (oh … and there are some more post it notes !)

marieleng and joachim’s wedding planning started months ago far away on the other side of the world – and their dream wedding ? … to be surrounded by their closest friends and family at the Chateau de Bagnols hidden away in the vineyards of the beaujolais, on a perfect blue skied day in late April and oodles of happiness – and they had the lot !    because they live so far away we only met face to face the day before their wedding – they are a wonderful couple, so friendly, welcoming and fun that i knew instantly that their wedding was going to be amazing – and it was !

marieleng and her sisters were starting to get ready when i arrived – not a sign of nerves just huge grins and calmness, and that was the mood for the whole day!   the bride looked stunningly beautiful in a dress to die for, the bridegroom looked like he was the luckiest / proudest / happiest man in the world .

wow – what an amazing day – let me describe the scene … the amazing chateau de bagnols set deep in the beaujolais vineyards, a clear blue sky and quite possibly the happiest and most gorgeous couple in the world !   and boy did they celebrate in style surrounded by their closest family and friends who had travelled from very far and wide – a really magical day !    this is just a sneak peek but there will be more to follow very soon …
