this was such a very very happy wedding, an intimate beautiful wedding with an amazing couple. we arranged to meet for the preparation photos at their flat in lausanne where they were getting ready together. the bride with roses in her hair and her stunning dress looked absolutely radiant and the bridegroom ? …well, i don’t think there was a happier or prouder man in the country ! the wedding itself was taking place at the fairytale castle ‘Chateau d’Aigle’ at the eastern end of lac Léman. with clear blue sky, golden leaves on the remaining vines and snow on the mountains in the background the setting was perfect. the bride and groom had gathered their closest friends and family to celebrate their day with them, and it was done in style.

the only little surprise was provided by the chimney, which objected to the fire set in it to keep the guests warm in the banqueting hall -
hence the appearance of some very charming "lucky" firemen and smart red fire engine to get rid of the smoke.

a big thank you to them both as even though their wedding was such an intimate occasion they were happy to let me post some images
- it has been a challenge to share the magic of the day whilst preserving their privacy, there were so many images i wanted to show,
but i love the result … it’s a bit like catching glimpses of key moments from a very special day.
all the very best to this brilliant couple … and i just know that 2011 is going to be just as wonderful, if not more so -
congratulations for everything and thank you for letting me be part of your special day
