well i can’t resist another quick post of some of the images i took at the venetien carnival in annecy.  i had an amazing time both on the evening and the following day at the carnival and chatted to quite a few of the "costumiers" parading, (walking doesn’t seem a grand enough term), around in their finery.  they told me that they can spend a whole year creating these beautiful, beautiful costumes – the attention to detail is stunning.   whilst creating a gallery for the stars of the show i realised just how many of my favorite shots i had left out….

if you are near annecy 2 weekends after mardi gras (so around 20th March 2011) it really is worth the trip and the ‘costumiers’ parade round the old town of annecy for three days

i can’t wait for next year   x

woohoo !   kate and sebastien are back from honeymoon so i can finally share some of their wedding shots with you,  forgive me for the delay but i wanted them to be first to see them and i wasn’t sure of the internet connections on the beautiful sun drenched island they had chosen to escape to !  

the wedding which was held at the palace de menthon in annecy was gorgeous – the happy couple were gorgeous and their friends and family were gorgeous too !    the weather did it’s best to put a dampener on things but quite honestly i don’t think anybody noticed that much,  i felt really lucky to be included in such a close group of friends and family, everyone was incredibly welcoming – all in all a very, very, very happy day  !!!

last saturday i met up with the brilliant eline and joppe in their home town of lausanne to do their pre-wedding photo shoot.   we met at the musée olympique on the shores of lake geneva (lac leman – i’m never sure which to put !?!!)  and after a quick coffee and a good chat about all the cool things they have planned for their big day, and after they had showed me the most amazing invites i’ve ever seen, we started the photo shoot.  

inspired by the sporty surroundings they got into the swing of things with the newly invented ‘pond leap’ event, closely followed by the handstand trial.   the gardens there are lovely so even though we weren’t particulary lucky with the weather we still had fun taking great shots of them.  we  finished up the lausanne part with a quick visit to a beautiful and very ornate thai temple in the gardens set back from the lake.  after lausanne they took me to see where the ‘big day’ is going happen – wow !!!!     the chateau d’aigle is just beautiful, surrounded by vineyards with mountains in the background ….

 i can’t wait for mid june – their wedding is going to be fantastic !    x

i am very chuffed that an article about my site has been published in F2 freelance photographer.   Just over 6 weeks ago the lovely Sue Harper from F2 magazine in the UK contacted me to see if they could feature my website in the april/ may issue of the magazine, they choose a different web site every issue and i was very flattered that they chose mine !   

seeing it in print is a brilliant feeling – i’m sitting here with a big grin !    the magazine is available from WHSmiths from the 8th april – today !!! 

last saturday i met up with the very brilliant eline and joppe to do their pre wedding shoot – we had a great time taking shots in the beautiful gardens of the Olympic Museum in lausanne,  and i couldn’t resist posting a couple straightaway …
