i just couldn’t resist spending half an hour or so in this glorious poppy field yesterday – and yes believe it or not this is on the school run ! … how lucky am i ?

they caught the morning sun and the whole hilltop just glowed scarlet, by evening they were gone … something to look forward to for next year … anyone need poppy portraits ? guaranteed redness

on the hill opposite this one there is a field full of stunning deep blue cornflowers – i love this time of year
