here are some of the first shots from the pre wedding shoot i did on sunday with Julie & Jerome.  they were great fun to be around, and we spent a brilliant afternoon looking round the village of Grandvaux, Switzerland,  where they are going to be married in mid september.    they were a joy to photograph and i think their love for each other just comes shining through in these shots …

just check out this location, how about this terrace amongst the vines high above lake geneva, for the wedding reception! ….

… how lucky am i ? i feel very privileged   -  gorgeous couple, gorgeous location, gorgeous weather !!!      …………. roll on september… !!!

here’s that kit car i promised -  on the sunday i arrived in the lakes i decided to go to the seaside so drove over to walney island, off barrow in furness.   this beautiful car was about to be sold on by it’s owner – he was busy taking pictures to put in the ‘for sale’ section and i asked if i could take some too – how cool would it be to ‘fly’ across the fells in this ! …

that being said the 1:4 road up to Blea Tarn in the rain which i did 3 days later is less tempting !    anyway, the car had no reverse gear, something to do with having a motorbike engine, so the owner kindly pushed it round so i could do some of the shots … what a star – big thanks !

well here you go … here is the first post with shots from the brilliant courses i went on at the annabel williams studios in the lakes last week ….these are some of the images from the shoot with the gorgeous mel – she was an absolute star and waited patiently whilst all of us on the "making women look fantastic" course took it in turns to photograph her !  

she was brilliant all the way thru and didn’t complain once even tho she was recovering from a knee op !!!   she had brought some gorgeous outfits with her, really strong colours  – an amazing sense of style and don’t you just love that hat – i’m going to ask the birthday fairy for one !!!

the next set will be of a beautiful bright yellow MK kit car on a sun drenched (yep i was very lucky with the weather) beach  …  a bit different but hey … i just loved it so i photographed it – what better reason …

i have just spent a fantastic week in the lake district.   i did two brilliant photography courses at the Annabel Williams studio in Staveley – the first one run by Annabel was ‘Making women look fantastic’ … and it was fantastic, the other amazingly informative and interesting course was on ‘the digital workshop’ and was run by Stewart Randall  – i learnt sooooooo much from both of the trainers and had a great time with the other photographers present over the two days. As usual the team at Annabel’s was great too – big thanks to Mel, Ali, AJ & Dave and another big thanks to the models Mel, Sophie and Keisha who were wonderful and gorgeous.

As soon as I have finished them i will post some of the shots – so many to choose from …..  Mel, Sophie, Keisha, the stunning scenery of Blea Tarn, perhaps the beach at Walney Island, or even a rather gorgeous kit car …

in the meantime here is one of my favourites of the gorgeous Mel …

had fun doing this one – i’ve been trying to convince him to let me photograph him for forever !  so a big thank you to annabel, sarah & jo for suggesting it & to his better half for finally twisting his arm   – i owe you !

i love the results – and i’m hoping to convince him to do another session sometime soon !     thanks rik 

 i just couldn’t resist spending half an hour or so in this glorious poppy field yesterday – and yes believe it or not this is on the school run ! … how lucky am i ?

they caught the morning sun and the whole hilltop just glowed scarlet, by evening they were gone …  something to look forward to for next year … anyone need poppy portraits ?  guaranteed redness
